Fashion Friday Faves!

31 May

Hello Glamorites!!

Seeing as it is fashion friday I put together a little collection of my favourite pintrest pics I have seen over the course of this week. With summer right around the corner I am getting this craving to go shopping and update my whole wardrobe! I wish I could plant a money tree….back on topic, take a browse through the pictures and let me know if you have any comments/likes/dislike!

Thanks all and stay glam xx Glamour Planner

These simple thin rings in black, gold and silver stacked onto several fingers just looks so trendy! But with this total fashionista vibe….loving!

To me this dress is the complete summer’s “little white dress”…the pearl and lace detailing is fabulously vintage and the contemporary ribbon makes it picture perfect.

I need to have these Guess by Marciano heels in my closet! The gold touch around the ankle gives the shoe such an edgy and unique look that will work with any bright or neutral summer outfit.

Lastly we have to have a splash of colour somewhere…This cute sun hat is just ideal for running around doing errands or an afternoon at the beach. It adds some personality to your outfit or a pop of colour!

Here you can buy individual letters or phrases (found at any home-depot or craft type store), spray paint them any colour you want and hang them in a space. This example is for a guest bedroom and written “be my guest” above the bed, very cute!

A fun way to add personality to individual rooms is by painting the inner frame of the door.

Chocolate to the rescue!

29 May

Hello Glamorites!

It’s Wednesday hump day so I figured we all need a little something sweet (preferably chocolate) to help give us a little boost to get through the rest of the week! These Chocolate Chip Lava cookies are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, I tried these a little while ago and they turned out perfectly. They contain all the best desserts in one, cookie, chocolate, melted chocolate and ice cream…can’t get much better than that! Give these a try, courtesy of Kevin & Amanda and I hope they get you through today!

Classic like the 1920’s

Hello Glamorites!

Lately I have been seeing a lot of vintage influence in fashion, parties and even movies. When I saw the new Great Gatsby movie in theatres this week I was loving the vintage and classical feel in every aspect from the clothing to how they spoke. I loved the attention to detail that the movie captured; it captured the essence of the Roaring 20’s and I loved how they took and pride in what they wore, how they looked, and their attitude  about how they were presented. Enough about the past for now….I found this gorgeous picture and adored the entire look, so I created a how-to!

Hope you enjoy it & maybe even try a little vintage style today too!

HAIR – The Sock Bun

Everyone seems to be catching on to this trend, why? Because it looks great and takes less than a minute to do! It is super handy if you are rushed for time, didn’t have time to shower but want to still look nice and put together. As well though it is a fabulous look for when you are getting all dolled up and wanted to show off some jewels or dress. Here is a great how-to for the sock bun by Beautylish! JEWELS – Dangling Chandelier

These type of earrings are very eye catching, they have a unique shape plus the sparkle to add some glitter and shine! Two similar examples to the earrings from the picture I found from Lia Sophia, a jewelry company selling pieces through home parties! MASCARA – Long & Lushes Lashes

Here are 3 simple tricks I have learned to properly apply mascara and for better results!

Step 1: Wiggle the mascara wand a little from side to side at the base of the lashes, it is the mascara placed at the roots of the lashes that give the illusion of length.

Step 2: Pull the wand up and then through the lashes while continuing to wiggle as you go, the wiggle is key as it helps separate the lashes.

Step 3: The final little trick is to close your eye and put the mascara on the top of the lashes and pull through as to remove any clumps.

Hello Glamourites,

My name is Ashley and I have started this blog to share my interests and hopefully inspire a few of you out there to try something new ideas I post. My biggest love is planning, I love planning anything: a dinner party, an afternoon tea, a movie night, a “just-because” party, surprise parties, and the list goes on. I also enjoy food, well more than enjoy, I adore food! I take pictures of almost everything I eat and am always trying to scout out the next best recipes, so I will be showing some of my newest food trials as well as ones that I hope to try. Fashion is another one of my passions; I never leave the house in sweatpants and usually change my outfit at least twice before deciding what to wear. And I always trying to find an excuse to go shopping! I will write about some of my latest finds or deals and pieces that I would love to own or be able to afford one day. And finally, I want to share with you my interest for design, so you’ll find me posting decor and architecture that catch my eye. Sometimes just adding a bit of colour  or a new item to a room is all you need to mix things up a little.

Here are some pictures that reflect my style and taste!
