Sorry, my bad

17 Dec

Hello Glamourites,

My SINCEREST apologies, I’m not sure how it happened put my last semester at school somehow took up all my time! I promise to be more diligent from now on and some new years resolutions will soon be made.

I hope you all have had a wonderful fall season and are looking forward to Christmas. I know I am!!! Here are some of my favourite things to look forward to while I am home for the holidays…

sorry_sleepThe best thing about coming home after a long school semester or working is sleep. Looking forward to having no pounding alarm waking you from your peaceful slumber and being able to roll over and keep sleeping.

sorry_eatingFOOD! As a student I don’t have the biggest budget when I am away to spend on groceries which makes it extremely exciting to come home and see a fridge full of goodies. Plus all the amazing home cooked meals and luxurious holiday meals.

sorry_readingHaving time to actually read for pleasure is pure bliss. Sitting down with a good book and hot chocolate in front of the fire and losing yourself in the story takes all your problems away.

sorry_dressupAs a girl I absolutely love to dress up and Christmas is the best season for pulling out that sparkle dress and getting your heels on! It is a time where everyone has an excuse to throw a party and share the holiday cheer!

sorry_farmily My family always brings a smile to my face whatever mood I may be in and it is amazing to be surrounded by them through the whole holiday season ❤

That Tutu Touch

11 Oct

Hello Glamourites,

I hope everyone had a great week and an even better upcoming weekend! As usual I go through my daily sites and look for anything that inspires or catches my eye, this week it happen to be tutu’s. Surprisingly, because I’ve never worn a tutu {well besides when I was 4 and did ballet..} but in these particular outfits I really like it. I may even have to go purchase one for my closet. Take a look and let me know your thoughts on tutu’s  xx Glamour Planner

This would be my tutu style skirt if I owned one ~ I like that it is long and a more edgy colour.tutuLong

I would also totally wear this {when summer rolls around again} a perfect neutral colour to pair with anything!

Here is an example that could totally be pulled off this fall/winter, a much more full skirt added with some gems and put together with a sweater and belt. tutuWinter

The shape of this skirt just says classy to me, the length, how the panels fold and the waist line ~ perfect for dress up. tutuclassy

If all these tutu’s are still feeling too girly for you, throw on some black leather and heavier pieces to dull it down. tutuLeather

Classic like the 1920’s

28 May

Hello Glamorites!

Lately I have been seeing a lot of vintage influence in fashion, parties and even movies. When I saw the new Great Gatsby movie in theatres this week I was loving the vintage and classical feel in every aspect from the clothing to how they spoke. I loved the attention to detail that the movie captured; it captured the essence of the Roaring 20’s and I loved how they took and pride in what they wore, how they looked, and their attitude  about how they were presented. Enough about the past for now….I found this gorgeous picture and adored the entire look, so I created a how-to!

Hope you enjoy it & maybe even try a little vintage style today too!

It is super handy if you are rushed for time, didn’t have time to shower but want to still look nice and put together. As well though it is a fabulous look for when you are getting all dolled up and wanted to show off some jewels or dress. Here is a great how-to for the sock bun by Beautylish! JEWELS – Dangling Chandelier

These type of earrings are very eye catching, they have a unique shape plus the sparkle to add some glitter and shine! MASCARA – Long & Lushes Lashes

Here are 3 simple tricks I have learned to properly apply mascara and for better results!

Step 1: Wiggle the mascara wand a little from side to side at the base of the lashes, it is the mascara placed at the roots of the lashes that give the illusion of length.

Step 2: Pull the wand up and then through the lashes while continuing to wiggle as you go, the wiggle is key as it helps separate the lashes.

Step 3: The final little trick is to close your eye and put the mascara on the top of the lashes and pull through as to remove any clumps.
