Summer Inspo

30 Jun

Hello Glamourites!

Yes I know it has been awhile; it seems June got away on me! Things were crazy with it being my sister’s high school graduation which meant lots of parties and family from out of town. Now that things have died down and summer is well upon us, I hope to get back to making regular posts ūüôā For today, here are some pictures and ideas for summer/fashion/food and others that caught my eye. Hope you are all having an amazing start to your week! xx Glamour Planner

Hello Glamourites,

My girly guilty pleasure has come out again in looking at wedding inspiration pictures and trends and looking at what is upcoming for the season. I am going to be sharing with you the 2014 colour trends by Vera Wang! Along with each colour palette I have chosen various aspects and unique pieces you can easily find or make for your wedding. Check out the arrangements below and let me know if you have a favourite xx Glamour Planner

Has Spring Sprung Yet?

11 Mar

Hello Glamourites,

Clearly I have been MIA the past month…probably wallowing in my winter depression! In my opinion, it stayed WAY over its welcome; it’s March already mr. weather. On that note, I have obviously been looking  into spring trends and outfit inspirations to keep me calm. Check out the pictures below for the Spring 2014 trend insights taken from the Paris runway during Fashion Week. Hope everyone is having a great week xx Glamour Planner

The wide-leg pant is back! They are easy to wear and ultra-chic; billowy wide-leg trousers are making a come back on  the spring runways and streets.Springwideleg

All heights can wear these pants, not just the 6 foot models. If you are shorter look for slimmer on the flare and appropriate high waisted length. Springwideleg2

Contrast collar button downs are the new essential. Inspired by men’s dress shirt bringing in contrasting colours, textures or patterns, it’s a simple way to spice up your work outfit. ¬†Springbuttondown

How adorable are the Tea-length skirts, somewhere between the length of maxi and midi (just below the knee). This length works perfect for any spring afternoon!
SpringTeaSkirt

The ladylike hemline can be as modern as the midi depending what you pair it with, could be a cropped top which will accentuate your height!

SpringTeaSkirt2

The last inspiration for today is the introduction of the tuxedo trouser with a mix of the athletic pant making this sporty and comfy but still looking smart and sophisticated. Also try a streamlined silhouette in a unexpected white or reverse tuxedo.

Fresh + Clean

26 Jan

Hello Glamourites!

I hope everyone is having an enjoyable weekend and taking some down time to relax and recharge. My weekend has been fairly quiet but also with a little fun of course. It has been freezing here which doesn’t make it very enjoyable to leave the apartment. With it being January we are always reminded about new beginnings and starting fresh…I have taken that same outlook and applied it to design and possible room interiors. If we have a clean environment, it will rub off on us and encourage us to be the same way. Hope you get some inspiration from these pictures xx Glamour Planner

The contrast between bold and simple in this living space is ideal, the straight lines from the chair frames, circle table and window rectangles. Then the juxtaposition using the black and white to make a dramatic but while still clean atmosphere.

Fresh&Clean

This bedroom makes me feel I am taken back a few centuries. The detailing in the moulding and the bed posts are beautifully rich and gives this a pristine vintage look. Fresh&Clean3

For a smaller{ish} living room space this is made very grand, thanks mainly to the high ceiling which also allows too for the dramatic  chandelier. In this case, where the room is smaller and gets an abundant amount of natural light, having only black & white is perfect. Fresh&Clean2

On a smaller scale, an office desk can feel much more organized and clean if it has a neutral colour pallet. Also consistency for supplies and accessories helps with the visual aesthetic of the space.     Fresh&Clean4

The bathroom is a very important room as it is the first place you go after waking up. You want that room to make you feel fresh and therefore come across that way in the design. Here the simple lines and warm tones from the wood create a welcoming and awakening area.

Winter Warm

23 Jan

Hi Glamourites,

Well here in Toronto the temperatures have dropped in the extreme negatives making it very unpleasant whenever you must go outside. This makes it hard when putting an outfit together as I have discovered it can be tricky to look fashionable but still staying warm! Here are some pictures I have put together of outfits that look stylish but won’t let you freeze in the cold weather. Of course most of these you will still need a heavy jacket…but you get the idea. ¬†xx Glamour Planner

I love this because sweater dresses are extremely comfortable {and reasonable} while being good source of heat but by spicing it up with a statement belt you turn this into chic. Warm|black

Who says you can’t wear white in the winter? It can definitely be pulled off, the oversized long sweater works here because the colour dresses it up while still being comfy and warm.¬†Warm|white

Possibly my only favourite thing of cold weather…SCARVES. There are a million and one options with different patterns, shapes and colours for everyone’s personal style.¬†Warm|scarf

This is an adorable look for a date perhaps, skirt is keeping it girly while the baggy sweater is staying casual and high socks {again} for not freezing. Warm|skirt

Fancy lunch date, no problem. Short sweater dress with some high heel boots and statement necklace, done. Warm|dress

New Year, New Glam

20 Jan

Hello Glamourites!

Happy New Year to everyone and I hope you all had a safe and relaxing holiday! Now that I am back in the big city and school I have time to get in the routine of updating posts on a regular basis {or let’s hope that will be the case}. I have put together pictures and inspiration of styles and tips I would like to focus on more this year. Let me know what your resolutions are for 2014! ¬† ¬† ¬†xx Glamour Planner

No matter what you do be confident in yourself! Glitter sparkles brightly for everyone to see, show people your sparkle.newyearsparkle

Hi Glamourites,

Obviously I am struggling to get readjusted to this whole school routine thing again; not used to requiring an attention span for longer than an hour listening to lectures! Needless to say, I have felt very uninspired and seem to be lacking in energy to write any posts. I am determined to make that change and commit more time to the blog and my own creative research. Here are  some pictures I saw last week, as well as a few more that I found today. Perhaps they will get me excited for the fall days ahead! Enjoy xx Glamour Planner

Okay I’m not excited for the cold fall days but this sweater makes me come to terms with it. Love the two tone colours!

The simple lines within the heel straps are very eye catching while still casual enough to wear with jeans.

It’s a risk to try opposite direction stripes in one outfit but when pulled off, it’s a success!

Black and white two faced pants…I’d say these are pretty awesome.¬†84c2fd6b4e44bf24d840a4920f68f0ea

Scarves are a must have for this upcoming season and I love all the colours as well as line thicknesses in this scarf making it fun! 2e17a4fcacb6a7debeec91789b7c7dfc

Not over yet

25 Aug

No, I refuse to believe that summer is over yet, because it’s NOT! Summer is my favourite season; I try and enjoy it to the fullest and for as long as possible. I love those long beach days relaxing under the hot sun and perfecting a tan; those days whenit stays light out until 10pm. These pictures capture what I feel summer is along with the fun it brings. Hope you all are enjoying these months and getting some adventures out in the sun xx Glamour Planner

The Triple Threat

31 Jul

Hi all Glamourites!

I figured after all this time I should finally post some of my own pictures from an event I recently held. ¬†I must also give my Mom a lot of the credit (food & decor purchasing) for this particular party but we work well together throwing fun gatherings for friends and family! For this evening we went with the “Triple Treat” theme being WINE, CHEESE & CHOCOLATE. How can you go wrong with that? Here are some pictures of our food table and decorations. Hope you enjoy and are inspired to do some entertaining of your own ¬†xx Glamour Planner

IMG_1523I have seen this done in magazine’s and on Pinterest of course…using wine bottles as individual vases for flowers. I wanted to spray paint them but ran out of time and in the end, I like the natural uniqueness of each bottle. It also suited our “Wine,Cheese & Chocolate” theme.

DSC_0636If you haven’t tried BRIX chocolate, I highly suggest it! IThis ¬†specialty chocolate is made for pairing with wine… yum yum.
DSC_0645A party is not complete without matching theme serviettes.

DSC_0654The entrance: one of THE most important parts of an event. This is where your guests get the first impression of what they have to expect and also what will stick most in their mind. We found some adorable chocolate/dessert paintings, more books on chocolate and fun accent gift baskets to line the staircase as our guests entered the house.
