Balmy and Beautiful

Hello Glamourites,

I know for me I always want to be stylishly dressed whenever I leave the house but that can be difficult during the winter months when the temperature drops. I’ve compiled some outfit ideas that you can take inspiration from to keep warm and still look fashionable! It’s been a fairly warm Christmas where I have been but I have a feeling after New Years we’ll be in for some cold days ahead…I’m definitely not looking forward to that. Personally I wish it was summer all year, guess I gotta move to Hawaii if I ever hope to get that. Hope you all are having a fun and relaxing holiday xx Glamour Planner

A sweater such as this, made of wool or polyester is the best type of fabric to go with for winter as it keeps the moisture out and the warm air in. You may assume cotton is another smart choice to go with, think again, it is an extremely absorbent material and will soak up all the moisture around you. Pick a unique colour as it will stand out and add some personality to an otherwise typical grandma sweater. 

LAYERS. One of the most efficient ways to dress I find. With my temperature issues, too cold when outside and overheating once inside it is easy to shed a layer or two depending on how hot/cold it is. Plus you can mix and match all sorts of colours and patterns making for an exciting outfit!

Purchasing a signature winter coat can be all you need to spice up an outfit if you are out walking the streets running errands. A colour like this plum burgundy is a beautiful shade for the dull days of winter.

A fur vest of any type is an excellent addition to an outfit as it creates an instant elegance that is effortless and keeps your core body warm and cozy through the day!

My ABSOLUTE favourite winter accessory/secret is scarfs. I have a huge plaid scarf with about 5 different colours that goes with anything and everything I’m wearing and when I open it up it’s as large as a blanket. Having that around my neck it just about doesn’t matter what else I have on I will be sure to be toasty warm!

I figured I couldn’t let the Grammys come and go by without having a quick post up about my favourite dresses of the night! Although I have to say, I was disappointed in quite a few of the selections of some people…but we won’t get into that in this post anyways, haha. This was my top pick from last night {I also am a huge Beyonce fan I will admit} with her wearing Michael Costello. ABSOLUTELY stunning. 

Miranda Lambert in Pamella Roland. I don’t usually notice her outfits but this red dress with deep-V got my attention.

Ciara being pregnant but looking as beautiful as always in a beautiful detailed Pucci gown.Another confession, I have not listened to much of Iggy Azalea but this white number by Elie Saab was gorgeous!

Now as for men’s fashion, everyone is talking about Pharrell Williams’s oversized Indiana hat but can we also take a look at Miguel stylin’ in patent leather pants…

Hello Glamourites,

Been a busy and fun-filled weekend for me topped with LOTS of eating. Food has got to be one of my favourite things in this world, I really wish I could eat all day and not gain weight haha I know, not possible. All this got me thinking about kitchens, this is where all the food prep happens, eating and when parties are happening people always seem to gather in the kitchen. It’s a central area and always seems to be where the hub of the home is. Here are some differently styles of kitchens that got me thinking about my dream kitchen xx Glamour Planner

This space has a fun combination of vintage hardware with modern pop of colour.

Countertop is always key for a successful kitchen, you need lots of space to be able to spread out. 

A very classic feel from this kitchen with the arched ceiling feature, moulding detail around the stove and island with the bronze taps. 

For a more unique kitchen this space adds pop art, retro title and simple lines. 

Stepping into this kitchen would feel like taking a step into the past, this space is rich in stone, wood and marble.

Hello Glamourites!

Hope you are all having a nice start to your week and the weather is as beautiful as it is for me! The sun is shinning and the birds are singing (well in my mind they are). I am also noticing a ton of stores having great sales on already for their summer collections, so a great time to get some deals and stock up on some summer clothing! Because of the heat lately I am loving my shorts, although I don’t have many, and have put these ones on my favourite list. Hopefully I will be able to expand my shorts wardrobe with these sales around. Hope you like my picks  xx Glamour Planner

I figured I should put my all-time favourite at the top… I NEED these. Yes need. The colouring is amazing and the added studs makes it a fantastic duo.
These denim shorts I like because they look a little baggier which makes them comfy to run around in or for a casual event. Also being a little high waisted and circle studs makes them unique.
White shorts are the classic summer fashion. Great for a beach afternoon, BBQ or shopping downtown.
For a more formal attire you can go with a tweed material which feels more classy. Gold is always a solid choice for colour as you can always match it with whatever else you are in the mood for.
Lastly another denim, good old basic short. I thought the square stud detailing on the back was very cute and can be made casual or even higher fashion with some heels and a fun top.
